Arts Council England - Funding surgery for Brighton Digital Festival
Date: Monday 28 May
Venue: Lighthouse, 28 Kensington Street, Brighton, BN1 4AJ
About this event
Brighton Digital Festival is a celebration of digital culture that happens in venues across the city, throughout September. The festival returns in 2012, and we'd like to make sure that as many people as possible are able to organise great events.
If you're planning on running an arts or education related event at this year's Brighton Digital Festival, you might be eligible to apply for funding support from Arts Council England.
This funding surgery will help answer any questions you might have about how to apply for Arts Council England funding.
If you have an idea you want to turn into an application, do some thinking and preparation before the surgery and bring along an outline for discussion.
- The event will begin with information about Arts Council England’s Grants for the Arts funding opportunities. This will cover what kinds of things we fund, how to apply, and how to develop your application. Jon Pratty, Digital and Creative Economies Relationship Manager and Jon Linstrum, Combined Arts Relationship Manager, both from Arts Council England, will be on hand to answer your questions.
- We’ll also be having a Question and Answer session about your ideas for Brighton Digital Festival projects and events, so you can work out if you can apply for support.
- If you're not sure about how to put it all together, we'll also be able to offer some event planning advice. Andrew Sleigh, co-organiser of Brighton Mini Maker Faire, will be on hand to offer his thoughts about how you plan and manage an event.
